KAR-PHPA RD minimises tight hole and purge rates.

KAR-GLY LC Polyalkylene Glycol (Low Cloud Point) Shale Stabiliser KAR-GLY LC is a low cloud point polyalkylene glycol formulation. It is used in water-based drilling fluids to improve lubrication and shale stability. It is recommended for use in potassium and sodium based salts (5-22 per cent by weight).

KAR-GLY LC is particularly effective with general salinity types and ranges used in the drilling fluid industry.

KAR-GLY HC Polyalkylene Glycol (High Cloud Point) Shale Stabiliser KAR-GLY HC is a cloud-point additive for high-salinity fluids with a salinity range greater than (greater than 90,000 mg/l Cl) and can be used in wells with medium formation temperature. It is designed for high-saturated salinity GLYDRIL systems. It can be used in wells with medium and high formation temperatures. Used in water-based drilling fluids to improve lubricity and shale stability.

KAR-GLY HC stabilises reactive formations, increases drilling fluid lubricity, reduces ball tendencies and reduces HTHP filtration.

KAR-TROL K Sulphonised Potassium Asphalt Shale Stabiliser KAR-TROL K is a sulphonated asphalt potassium salt designed as a shale inhibitor and high temperature fluid loss control additive.

KAR-TROL K forms an asphalt film on water-sensitive shale and cuttings that stops their hydration and dispersion. KAR-TROL K physically stabilises brittle shales by blocking micro-fractures and pores in brittle shales.

KAR-TROL K provides additional shale hydration inhibition by contributing water soluble potassium ion to the drilling fluid.

KAR-TROL K reduces torque and friction as a result of the lubricating film formed over the hole.

KAR-TROL K provides excellent high temperature / high pressure fluid loss control and improves filter cake quality.

KAR-TROL K aids oil emulsification in water-based drilling fluids.

KAR-STAB N Sulphonised Sodium Asphalt Shale Stabiliser
KAR-SEAL G Gilsonite (Powder) Shale Stabiliser & LCM KAR-SEAL G is a water-dispersible gilsonite designed primarily to stabilise mechanically weak or fractured shales when used in water-based drilling fluids.

KAR-SEAL G stabilises brittle, fractured or steeply dipping shales by plugging micro-fractures or bedding planes and thus restricting filtrate invasion.

KAR-SEAL G is an effective HTHP fluid loss control agent providing a high quality, thin, compressible and slippery filter cake.

KAR-SEAL G also reduces torques and forms a hard, fine and slippery filter cake on the wall of the hole.

KAR-SEAL G reduces the potential for lice and BHA ball.

KAR-SEAL G performs equally well in drilling fluids containing salt and calcium.

KAR-SEAL G is compatible with all types of water-based and petroleum-based drilling fluids.

KAR-SEAL G minimises potential differential sticking in depleted sands.
